How Can I Restore My Smile?

Removable: Complete Dentures

Daily care

DaIly care certainly also involves oral and dental hygiene. This should not stop—even when your own teeth are replaced by artificial ones.

Regular care means, for example:

1.

Rinsing out your dentures under the tap after every meal, as well as rinsing your mouth—this also applies to partial dentures.

Your dentures can be best cleaned using denture brushes, or soft toothbrushes, with toothpaste.

A useful tip:
To avoid your dentures being damaged if they happen to fall out of your hand while you are cleaning them—always clean them over a wash-hand basin half-filled with water.

2.

If you don't want to wear your dentures overnight, just leave them to soak in a tumbler of plain tap water until morning.

When using denture cleaning tablets or powder, make sure you stick to the dosage stated in the enclosed with the product instructions for use.

Further advice

3.

It takes time adjust to new dentures, and a certain amount of patience is needed until you are able to accept the dentures as part of yourself.

Once you have become accustomed to your new dentures, it is normally sufficient to visit your dentist for a check-up once every six months.

Never attempt to repair or alter your own dentures—One faulty correction can put the effectiveness of the dentures at risk. So remember—any necessary adjustments should be carried out by your dentist!

For cleaning your dentures, use only mild cleansing agents, and no caustic liquids (such as household cleaners or solvents).

Follow your dentist's instructions at all times.

If given due care and attention, your dentures will be a fully functioning and lasting substitute for your own teeth and will contribute to your personal happiness and well-being.
